What’s important about a fit and healthy lifestyle?
If your like most fitness conscious Americans, I’ll bet your able to recite the calories, fat content and carbs of your favorite foods. You’ve been on most of the popular diets and if you haven’t, you certainly know what is “good” for you and which foods to avoid. You’ve done all the right things: You bought the most expensive fitness shoes, joined the gym, hired an awesome trainer and you even read Shape.
What stops you from reaching your goal?
When you start a new program you’re excited, motivated and you’re perfect! You’re losing weight quickly and totally focused. You stopped going out after work and visit the gym every night. You have tons of will-power and wouldn’t eat a potato chip if your life depended on it. Then something happens: Life gets in the way!

There is a difference between a healthy diet and exercise program and a healthy lifestyle.
A healthy lifestyle takes into account other aspects of the persons life. It creates a balance between family and friends, spirituality, money, environment, career, romance AND health and fitness. If a balance does not exist, the ignored aspect of you life will eventually get in the way of your diet and fitness program. A coaching relationship can help to establish and maintain a healthy lifestyle by recognizing the whole client.
