Due to corporate downsizing, I was demoted from a Plant Manger back into a roll of Production Manager in a paper mill. The new Plant Manger was making things difficult for me and was not treating me with the respect that I earned and deserved. I considered changing positions or even relocating, but my family and I had grown accustom to the life style that my current income was allowing and we really did not want to move out of the Los Angeles area. I had spent 2.5 years looking for equitable position in another corporation or industry. After dozens of interviews and countless hours of work, it just was not happening. Diane has an innate ability to identify areas in need of growth. For me it was developing my own meditation practice. As a yoga instructor I teach students the importance of meditating daily; however, I was not nurturing my own practice. When I began Life Coaching with Diane, admittedly I did not have a working understanding of what Life Coaching was. However, I trusted Diane’s integrity and her abilities, so I took a leap of faith; I made a commitment to three months of Coaching. At week three, I began to understand what working with Diane could do for me. Diane very subtly asks important questions. She doesn’t invade me. She doesn’t push me. She just asks the question. These questions stay with me during the week that follows and on my own, I find my answers; I work it out. At the next session, I am ready to talk about how the questions impacted my thinking and again, go one layer deeper.
